Acquire Cannabis in Israel through Telegram
Telegrass is a group system for the dispensation and commerce of weed and other light substances within the country. This is executed through the Telegram app where texts are fully encrypted. Merchants on the system supply speedy weed shipments with the possibility of offering critiques on the standard of the product and the traders themselves. It is believed that Telegrass's revenue is about 60 million NIS a per month and it has been used by more than 200,000 Israelis. According to law enforcement sources, up to 70% of illegal drug activities in the country was carried out through Telegrass.
The Law Enforcement Battle
The Israel Law Enforcement are trying to counteract cannabis trafficking on the Telegrass network in different ways, such as employing covert officers. On March 12, 2019, after an undercover investigation that continued about a year and a half, the law enforcement apprehended 42 high-ranking individuals of the group, such as the creator of the group who was in Ukraine at the time and was freed under house arrest after four months. He was extradited to Israel following a judicial decision in Ukraine. In March 2020, the Central District Court decided that Telegrass could be regarded as a criminal organization and the network's creator, Amos Dov Silver, was indicted with managing a criminal organization.
Establishment
Telegrass was founded by Amos Dov Silver after finishing several jail stints for small drug trade. The platform's designation is taken from the fusion of the words Telegram and grass. After his discharge from prison, Silver relocated to the United States where he opened a Facebook page for marijuana trade. The page enabled marijuana dealers to utilize his Facebook wall under a false name to promote their wares. They interacted with clients by tagging his profile and even uploaded pictures of the product available for sale. On the Facebook page, about 2 kilograms of cannabis were sold daily while Silver did not take part in the business or receive money for it. With the increase of the service to about 30 weed traders on the page, Silver opted in March 2017 to shift the business to the Telegram app called Telegrass. Within a week of its foundation, thousands signed up the Telegrass platform. Other key participants
